It was declared unconstitutional as it unduly restricted the freedom of the military-industrial complex.
I really can't imagine this actually becoming a law. But then again ignorant tea partiers and neo-cons breed a lot faster than thinking progressives so maybe someday soon...

After watching all of the weird stuff that has happened over the years, things that once seemed inconceivable to happen in America, I wouldn't be surprised if something like this, or worse, were to happen. And everybody would sit back and do nothing about it, and the government knows it. Remember back when it was illegal for the government to tap your phone without a reason? Yeah, they say the word "terrorist" and the people bend over and take it up the meep. Could you imagine 30 years ago, telling someone that they would someday have to go through what we have to go through just to get on an airplane? They would tell you that something like that might happen in some communist dictatorship, but never in America. meep, try to imagine how bad it's going to be 30 years from now, the people in charge will pretty much be able to do absolutely anything they want to you, for any reason. Oh wait, that's happening now...
