Wasn't Gates' talent buying software off of someone else who invented it (like DOS off some guy who created it in his basement, Windows off of Xerox), and then making billions of dollars off of it? I'm probably wrong somewhere in that statement I'm sure, but I seem to remember reading about this a decade or so ago, and I'm too lazy right now to look it up.
